"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalm 73:26 gives us comfort in our times of wondering and suffering. The psalmist accurately points out that evil men do prosper and the righteous are not spared from hard days. God's children struggle with the whys of Christianity. Why doesn't God intervene? Why doesn't God punish the wicked?
There are things that our limited and earthly minds may not figure out. However, we do know that our Father is loving and He has our best interests at heart. We are also made for eternity. A perfect and marvelous life is to come, and whatever may happen in this short span of earthly life won't erase the fact that God is our inheritance and His strength will help us overcome any difficulty. In our frailty, the Lord remains our perfect refuge, and He will never fail us.
