Relationship Prayer: Lord, Let Your Love Bring Peace

All relationships face challenges. It is human nature to be flawed, and for these flaws to drive a wedge of conflict into even the most steadfast of partnerships. Use this prayer to bring God’s love back into your home, returning even the stormiest of seas to a state of peace.

“Lord, let your love bring peace to my stirring heart, for I am troubled.

I am troubled, as my relationship that once flourished with love and compassion has grown cold. I am as a sailor unmoored, cast adrift on hostile seas, lost without your guiding light.

I relinquish myself to you, O Lord, that your love may find its way back into my heart, and my partner’s heart, restoring peace to our home.

May we find peace where there was once conflict and forgiveness where there was resentment. May we love each other as we love you, God – without reservation.

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.”

When faced with challenges of heart and home, we need not face them alone. When conflict takes root in your relationship, look to God’s love for the peace you seek.
