In Genesis 1:28, God commanded the man and the woman to be fruitful and multiply. Family is one of His greatest gifts. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses, and children are all causes to rejoice in the Lord. Psalm 127:3 says, "Children are a heritage from the Lord." Proverbs 17:6 says, "Children’s children are a crown to the aged." How can we not thank God for this grace to surround us with those who love us and are given to us?
Lord Jesus, thank You for my family. Thank You for surrounding me with people who love me and support me, and with children to care for. I do not deserve all the grace you lavish upon me, but I rejoice in it, for I know it is not good for the man or the woman to be alone. Thus You have provided for me above all I can ask or think. Thank You, Lord, for it all.
