It is no small feat, growing old together. Sometimes love becomes comfortable, but we must always remember to stay vigilant and pray for our partners, especially as they advance in years. God has already richly blessed a long-lived union, but He loves to continue to hear of our love.
Lord Jesus, You alone know how deeply I love my partner in this life. They have been with me for many wonderful years, through thick and thin, through the good times and the bad. I ask that as we age together, my partner continues to pray and love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. It has been an inspiration to spend my life with a person of such great faith, they have even inspired me in my own. Nurture this, Lord, as we grow closer to each other, and to You in this life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
No matter how long you’ve been with the one you love, always pray for them, as God gives to those who ask even to old age.
