Our God is a God of peace. The prophet Isaiah calls Him the Prince of Peace. Peace is given as one of the gifts of the Spirit. Even our Lord Christ promised to give of His peace, yet not as the world gives. The peace of God, therefore, is not without, rather it is within, able to keep us from the common worries and anxieties that often plagues those of the world. Let us thank Him for the blessed grace He has given us in His peace!
Lord God, thank You for bestowing peace upon Your children, that we might rest in knowing Your Spirit calms our spirits in the midst of the raging storm. We are grateful for this otherworldly peace which passes all earthly understanding, and as we are told by the Apostle Paul, Your peace is able to keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
