Heavenly Father, I am ever humbled before You. At this moment the Devil whispers with poisonous temptations. Yet even when I am at my weakest it is Your praises I sing, for I remember always these words from Nehemiah 8:10 – “the joy of the Lord is Your strength.”
So, I pray Your love enfolds me, that I may once more rejoice in the Lord and be renewed in both mind and body.

To be tempted by sin is to be human. It is an unavoidable part of our nature - as inherent to our existence as the need to drink water or breathe fresh air. God’s grace may be given to all without condition, but it is still our responsibility to combat sin, not only in our individual lives but in all that we do. This is not always easy, however, and sometimes we can feel truly tempted to do something we know is wrong.
Use this prayer to turn temptation into triumph by rejoicing in the Lord, who is our strength, and praying for his loving embrace to renew your resolve.
