Lord Jesus, please help me have passion for You once again. Return to me the love I had at first.
I remember those early days, when I was so full of faith, vibrant, and joyful. What happened to that person, Lord?
Help me find them again. Help me live for Your glory. Help me to dig in and study Your Word, not just skim it. Help me to seek You in deep prayer, not merely toss up a hasty blessing.
I want my heart to burn in adoration for You again, Lord.
Have mercy on me and breathe life into my soul. Amen.
If we’re honest, none of us are perfect Christians. More often than not we watch more TV than we pray, and we’re on social media more than we’re in God’s Word. This is precisely when we need to ask God for His help. Only God can break through the lethargy of worldliness.
God is our Restorer. If our hearts are right before Him, He will be faithful to uphold this prayer.
