"In You, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in You; do not let me be put to shame, not let my enemies triumph over me… Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long."
Psalm 25 1-2, 4-6
When we feel overwhelmed by our lives, we pray this prayer to remind ourselves that God is sovereign. His hand holds us, and therefore we put our trust in Him. Whether over our enemies, our ignorance, or our downfalls in life, we trust in God to guide us, not only on the paths we are to walk, but in His truth as well.
God is sovereign, however, He is also our Savior, and thus we are to find our hope in Him alone. Let us look to trust in God as our Hope, our Champion, our Teacher, and our Shepherd.
