Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.
I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
John 17:24-26
Jesus deeply desires all who know him to find unity in him. But first, we need to know the Father’s love, as displayed in the Son. When we meditate on this unique bond between the Father and Son- on which all human relationships are modeled- we experience more fully the depth of God’s love.
And what a great joy it is that He pours out His love on us. By the love shown to us through the Son, the Father reveals himself to us. As His love fills us, it flows from us into bonds of unity with our brothers and sisters.
