Daily Prayer: Lord, I Ask for Your Provision

Lord, I ask for Your provision upon myself and my family. I ask for Your protection and Your hand of love upon us.

For myself, I ask for health, both in my body and in my soul, that I might find all I need to fulfill my heart in You.

For my family, I ask for Your blessing upon us, that Your face might shine upon us.

Be gracious to us, God, and give us peace.

For those who believe, it is better to pray for the health of the soul than the health of the body, for our bodies are wasting away, but our souls are eternal. When we bring ourselves and our families before God, we ask for His blessings, however they may fall. God is able to make all things work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28), and therefore, everything in our lives suddenly has the potential to become blessings and provisions from His loving hand.

When we ask God for health and protection upon us and our loved ones, we trust that no matter what comes, His love shines upon us in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).

The peace of God passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and He will keep us in perfect peace when we trust in Him (Isaiah 26:3).
