Lord, Though I am Human and Flawed, You See My True Self

Lord, though I am human and flawed, You see my true self, always, and Your love is without condition.

I pray for Your forgiveness, as at times I struggle to embody Your goodness through giving this unconditional love to others. I know that those who cause pain for others only do so because they themselves are suffering.

I pray that You empower me to be an agent of Your love, so I may see their suffering clearly and work to bring love back into their life in Your name.

Praise God. Amen.

As Christians, we are to be known by our love, however, we are still sinners living out our lives. We don’t always love as we should. We need Christ’s help to love others in a graceful way. Not only that, we need discernment as well, to know how to love people rightly, especially those who are angry and hurting.

We must pray and ask Jesus to teach us how to love as He loves. While we will not be perfect, we will come to more perfectly reflect Him to others and live in authentic love for the people of God.
